As a photographer, one of the things I enjoy most is the opportunity to work with other small business owners and capture their passion, creativity, and hard work behind what they do. Recently, I had the pleasure of photographing two special projects for Marissa's Beauty Bar, located in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania.
CELEBRATING THE GRAND OPENING OF MARISsA's BEAUTY BAR
I first had the opportunity to photograph Marissa's grand opening, capturing the excitement of this special milestone as she opened the doors to her business for the first time. Grand openings are about more than celebrating a new space. They represent the time, dedication, and hard work that goes into building a business. Being able to capture these moments for Marissa meant so much to me. More than just elevating her own business, Marissa invited other small business owners and creatives to attend her grand opening, sharing her new audience throughout the day.
A Closer look at the artistry
Later, I had the opportunity to photograph Marissa's lash artistry, up close and personal. We focused on the details, precision, and craftsmanship that go into her work.
Beauty photography presents a fun creative challenge. It's about capturing the finer details while creating images that showcase the artist's skill, highlight the quality of their work, and reflect their brand. I enjoyed creating stories that tell the story of Marissa's incredible talent.
